Haligerd Livestock Farm started working in 2009 with the birth of the first transgenic Shangool and Mongool goats. Following the continuous success of Royan  Institute in 2010, with the birth of the second transgenic goat (Habeh Angoor), and the transfer of these valuable animals to Tehran, this farm became more important. This farm has capabilities for quarantine, production, reproduction, and breeding of all kinds of goats and sheep, and currently, Shangool, Mongool, Habeh Angoor, and Hana goats are kept on this farm. In this department, it is possible to produce and offer goat and sheep embryos, as well as sperm production, and providing it in both frozen and warm forms in different breeds of goats and sheep for the purpose of artificial insemination in these animals and artificial insemination and embryo transfer in goats and sheep using laparotomy and laparoscopy systems
A poultry farm (laying chicken) with an area of 60 square meters and a capacity of 200 chickens and roosters for the production of fertilizer and normal eggs is located in a research farm. Over the past years, as well as at present, many student projects have been completed in the farm and the poultry keeping room. Currently, there are 10 cages in two floors with drinking nipples and feeders, each cage can hold up to 20 laying hens and 12 laying hens ready for use. Also, the cages can be used in plans for one-day-old chickens and fattening by preparing broiler bedding (Mesh).
